Swimming and water activities on an Antibes yacht charter

A swim or a little time with a mask can give an Antibes charter a different pace. Choose the part of the coast with the captain, then confirm how the yacht and crew will support the stop.

Give the cap time of its own

Decide whether the Cap d’Antibes shoreline is the focus or a stop within a longer passage towards the islands. A longer course leaves fewer hours for entering the water, drying off and enjoying lunch. Tell the operator which part of the day you would keep if the programme needs simplifying.

A snorkelling request is most useful when it describes the people taking part. Is the aim a gentle look near the yacht, a guided session, or something for confident swimmers? Those options call for different arrangements. Clear water in a photograph is not a promise of visibility or suitable conditions on your date.

A mooring is part of the activity plan

Antibes protects sensitive seabed habitats, including Posidonia seagrass. The city describes managed mooring buoys in the anse du Croûton and notes that swimming and non-motorised leisure activities can coexist there. This does not reserve a buoy or establish that your proposed yacht qualifies to use it.

Ask the captain to check the current local mooring rules and the vessel’s suitability before naming a stop in the programme. Keep anchors, equipment and guests away from sensitive habitats as directed by the crew. The official links below help explain the setting; the operator must apply the current rules to the actual outing.

Check the return to the deck

For a mixed-age group, getting back aboard can be the deciding detail. Request a photograph of the ladder and platform rather than relying on a broadside yacht image. Discuss handholds, crew assistance and whether guests remaining on board have a comfortable shaded place to sit.

If you want masks, fins or paddleboards, confirm the quantities and sizes. Ask who provides a briefing and supervises use. A yacht’s equipment list may contain optional items or things unsuitable for every guest, so the proposal should identify what will actually be supplied for your charter.

Separate a private yacht day from a sports lesson

A specialist activity ashore may make more sense for someone who wants instruction or a powered-sports session. Do not assume the yacht can collect equipment from a beach or deliver guests directly to a sports centre. Confirm any landing, timing and separate provider before joining the two bookings.

For the yacht enquiry, send the date, group size, intended coast and preferred water activity. Explain whether the activity is essential or optional. The quotation should cover the yacht, crew, equipment and any supplement, with a clear response if conditions require a different stop or a cruise without swimming.
