A wedding yacht moment on the Antibes coast
Decide which wedding moment belongs afloat, then protect time for it. An Antibes couple’s cruise, family reception and guest transfer are three different charter briefs.
Your Antibes charter, from boarding to return
Send the date, the people coming and your preferred part of the Riviera. We will work through the yacht and departure choices so your quote covers the trip you actually want.
- Your departure
- Antibes boarding point agreed in your proposal
- Your guests
- Include everyone joining the trip
- Your quote
- Charter duration, crew and the services you select
Choose the part of the wedding the yacht will hold
A short outing for the couple gives the photographer space to work without moving an entire reception. A family meal places greater importance on seating, shade and service. If the intention is to transport guests between venues, the boarding points and luggage become central; that should be quoted as a transport requirement, not assumed within a leisure cruise.
Write down who is aboard for each part and whether anyone joins only while the yacht is alongside. Keep a legal ceremony separate from the charter enquiry: the appropriate wedding organiser must establish its requirements and status. A vessel and crew booking by itself does not provide an officiant, a ceremony entitlement or venue approval.
Coordinate with the real Antibes shore venue
Provide the venue address, the schedule and the person responsible for coordinating suppliers. A hotel around Cap d’Antibes may not offer suitable yacht access simply because it faces the sea. Ask the provider to identify the workable departure and return, then allow time for road transfers and the walk along the marina.
Formal clothing makes the details of boarding especially relevant. Request current photographs of the access arrangement and describe any assistance needs before settling on a yacht. Shoes, long dresses, bags and gifts need somewhere sensible to go. A larger vessel does not automatically remove steps or make every deck suitable for every guest.
Put the service and visual brief in writing
Tell the charter planner whether the outing needs drinks only, a meal or cake service. Confirm refrigeration, table layout, dietary arrangements and who serves. Floristry and decorations should fit the operator’s permitted methods and leave crew access clear. The quote should distinguish these supplies from the use of the yacht itself.
For photographs, share the desired mood and a few essential shots rather than a rigid list of exact coastal positions. The photographer needs time to move safely and should be included in the guest count. Ask about the light, yacht orientation and an alternative plan if the intended background cannot be approached comfortably on the day.
Keep one coordinator and a little breathing room
Choose a single contact who can resolve timing or supplier questions without disturbing the couple. Give that person the marina instructions, agreed guest list and operator’s contact. Build a buffer before a fixed ceremony, meal or evening reception ashore; an attractive itinerary becomes stressful if the wedding depends on a last-minute return.
Compare proposals by the actual yacht and the same event programme. Confirm hours, waiting time, crew, food, boarding arrangements and the contract’s treatment of weather changes. We can take a model preference or work from the spaces needed, but the final offer must identify the verified vessel and agreed services for the wedding date.
Checks for the course you have chosen
Can we book only for wedding photographs?
Yes, that is a useful brief to request. Include the photographer, equipment, desired light and shore schedule so the operator can propose an appropriate duration and boat.
Does this include a legal wedding ceremony?
No. Ceremony requirements and legal arrangements belong with the relevant wedding professionals and authorities; a charter proposal covers only the agreed yacht services.
