A week aboard from an Antibes starting point

Use Antibes as the beginning of a week aboard, then plan around the people and the yacht. Cabin comfort, meal preferences and time at each stop matter as much as the coastline covered.

Give the week a rhythm before choosing its reach

Discuss whether the group prefers longer stays, regular swimming opportunities or more time ashore. A party keen on restaurants and evening walks will use a week differently from guests who want quiet days aboard. Identify one or two priorities and leave space for the captain to propose a coherent route around them.

Antibes can be a practical Riviera starting point, but the chosen yacht’s embarkation and return arrangement must be confirmed. A request to finish elsewhere may introduce repositioning time and cost. Do not assume a seven-night charter automatically supports every destination or a different final port without affecting the programme.

Choose accommodation for repeated daily use

Review cabin sizes, bed arrangements and bathrooms with the actual group in mind. A compromise that feels acceptable for one night may become inconvenient over a week. Ask where luggage can be stored and which areas remain available while crew prepare meals or service the yacht.

Crew accommodation should be identified separately, along with the roles supporting the charter. If meals aboard are important, discuss the chef or catering arrangement and the process for provisioning. For children, tell the planner about sleeping patterns and supervision needs without assuming the crew provides childcare simply because the yacht is family-friendly.

Keep the itinerary flexible without making it vague

Request a suggested sequence that shows why each leg fits the yacht and charter hours. Distances, comfortable cruising pace and time for arrival should be considered alongside scenic appeal. A plan can mention preferred places while making clear that the captain may choose a different stop when conditions require it.

For any fixed restaurant, event or shore appointment, ask who arranges it and how the transfer works. A yacht reaching the vicinity is not the same as a confirmed landing or reservation. Where the programme depends on a particular berth, establish whether it is secured or still a request before finalising the shore schedule.

Understand the financial and contractual scope

Ask the provider to explain the charter fee and how fuel, provisions, marinas, taxes and other expenses are treated. Some proposals use an allowance with accounting; others price a defined package. Compare them only after the route, services and included items are aligned, and ask how unused funds or additional spending are handled.

Send the date range, number of nights, cabin sharing and preferred level of service. Review the verified yacht’s current condition and the contract’s cancellation, change and payment terms. A weekly enquiry can begin with a model or simply the spaces needed; it becomes a booking only when the vessel, availability and full agreement are confirmed.

Checks for the course you have chosen

Is a week always seven nights?

Confirm the exact embarkation and disembarkation dates and times. The commercial charter period should be written explicitly rather than inferred from the word weekly.

Can we finish outside Antibes?

Request a one-way itinerary early. It depends on the actual yacht’s schedule, feasible ports and any repositioning costs, all of which need to appear in the proposal.
